Handmade straw hat

Selected natural reeds from the Yellow River Basin are handmade through 12 ancient processes including “picking, drying, splitting, and weaving”. Each reed is carefully selected by craftsmen, and the weaving follows the old rule of “dense but not tight, sparse but not leaky”. The curvature of the brim needs to be repeatedly molded by the palm, ultimately presenting a unique texture that combines breathability and stiffness – sunlight passes through the fine weaving texture, casting dappled shadows on the shoulders, which is more gentle than sunscreen and more comfortable than a sunshade. ​
Whether it’s paired with a floral skirt during a seaside vacation or added to a minimalist outfit for city commuting, it can easily enhance the layered look. What’s even more noteworthy is that the natural straw material is biodegradable and can slightly conform to the curvature of the head when worn, becoming more comfortable with continued wear. ​
